Acupuncture

A safe, effective, holistic therapy - acupuncture improves the circulation of energy (or Qi) and blood through the body.

According to the laws of Traditional Chinese Medicine, our health is dependant on the harmony and balance of natural energy (or Qi) within us. This energy flows along meridians throughout the entire body. Sometimes the flow will become disrupted or blocked for one reason or another (for example accident, illness or stress). By inserting very fine needles into specific points along the energy meridians, acupuncture frees energy blockages and stimulates the body’s healing response.

Acupuncture is a safe technique utilising sterile, single-use needles with guide tubes. When a needle is inserted you may not actually feel it at all - when stimulated you may feel a tingling, warm, or dull sensation. The feeling is unusual, but not painful.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is an entire system of medicine used to treat a wide variety of conditions. Patients often find that a course of acupuncture leads to better sleep patterns, increased energy levels, and enhanced well-being.

Initial Consultation & Treatment - 60 minutes - £55

Gynaecology, Fertility & Obstetrics
Many gynaecological problems can be treated with acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture is particularly effective for pain relief in cases of dysmenorrhoea, endometriosis and in harmonising the menstrual cycle.

A recent German study found that acupuncture used in conjunction with IVF doubled the chances of a successful pregnancy. Acupuncture and TCM can also be extremely effective in improving fertility and in treating the side effects of pregnancy, such as morning sickness, back pain etc.

Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture
Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture (or Cosmetic Acupuncture as it is sometimes known) is a safe, virtually painless, non-surgical way of reducing signs of the ageing process and creating a radiant complexion.

By stimulating just under the skin surface, Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture works at a deeper level than some other techniques. Many of the traditional Chinese meridians end or start in the face, allowing Acupuncture to not only work locally, but to simultaneously treat underlying factors that contribute to the ageing process. During a treatment very fine needles are gently inserted just below the skin’s surface to invigorate circulation in the facial area. A small machine is sometimes used to enhance the effect of the needles and increase muscle tone.
