Botulinum Toxine A (Botox®) Wrinkle Treatments
A FDA approved medication, acting as a muscle relaxant. Tiny amounts are injected into the problem areas to prevent and soften lines and wrinkles caused by repeated localized muscle contraction.
The most common areas treated are the frown lines between the eyes, the horizontal forehead lines and crow’s feet.
In the hands of an experienced operator, Botulinum Toxine A should be nearly painless. There is no down-time and muscle relaxation is usually visible in 2 to 3 days but may take up to a week to fully develop. The resultant relaxation of the muscle lasts 3 - 4 months.
Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance found in all living organisms and provides fullness and volume to the skin. As we age, levels of natural Hyaluronic Acid decrease in the skin.
When injected just under the skin’s surface the Hyaluronic Acid filler temporarily plumps up the skin’s structure restoring a youthful smooth appearance. Over time the body naturally absorbs the Hyaluronic Acid and top-ups are needed to maintain results.
A local anesthetic cream is applied to the area prior to treatment. Hyaluronic Acid can be used to smooth frown lines, crow’s feet, smile lines, nasolabial fold, horizontal forehead lines, décolleté, neck and hands. You may experience some short term tenderness, swelling, redness, bruising or itchiness in the area after the treatment.
