The traditional use of earcandles can be traced back to the Indians of North & South America and Shaman healers. It is now widely used by GPs in Germany, as well as in European and American hospitals for many ear, nose, throat and head problems.
Ear-candles work on the chimney principle by drawing a column of air through the ear canal which vibrates, gently massaging the eardrum. This has a regulating effect on the pressure systems within the inner ear. The pressure flow also circulates a concentrated vapour, enriched with herbal extracts which creates a soothing effect on the throat, surrounding glands and organs.
It can be of benefit for such conditions as:
• Build-up of wax
• Irritation of the ears
• Sinusitis, rhinitis
• Headaches, migraine
• Cold, flu, catarrh, sore throat
• Ringing in ears, tinnitus
